Ich habe das Hilliard Ensemble oft live gehört. Absolut fantastisch, da flog man nach dem Konzert nach Hause. Auch mit Gabarek hörte ich sie einige Male, allerdings, jetzt betrachtet und von fern, finde ich die Kombination mit dem dich äußerst penetranten Saxophon fast schon beleidigend schrecklich, da man die tollen Sänger nicht mehr hört. Dennoch, einmal in einem Konzert, verließ ein Mann die Kirche mit den Worten, er wäre wegen gabarek gekommen und die 4 Männer störten ihn, und er ging tatsächlich nach Hause.. Das Saxophon nervt ehrlich gesagt..

Had the privilege of seeing her at Grüner Salon a couple of days ago. Can't believe I'd never heard of her before. Her voice, her music touched me to the very core. Seriously. Her 6-track EP has been on continuous play for days now. This song ("Under the Blanket") in particular gives me goosebumps every single time. Wow! Both thumbs up!

My wife and I saw Jan and the Hilliards in Lichfield Cathedral which was right at the very end of this final tour. Adjectives don't come easily enough to describe the experience but 'superlative' comes close.
